Stockland Fair - Spring Bank Holiday Monday

A traditional village country fair in the Blackdown Hills

Stockland Victory Hall, Stockland, Devon EX14 9EF

The ancient village of Stockland is the setting for this glorious one-day traditional family oriented English fair originally granted by King Henry III to the Manor of Stockland in 1252. Stockland Fair regularly attracts more than 2000 visitors and is an afternoon of family fun featuring traditional games and entertainments, rural crafts and displays, food, stalls and music. Stockland is in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is approximately six miles equidistant from the towns of Axminster, Chard and Honiton. The Fair is held in the grounds of Stockland Victory Hall, with grass field parking provided close by with the generous help of local landowners.

Annie Williams has asked me to pass on her thanks to everyone for their hard work setting up and running this year's fair and to all of you who came along on the day. Despite a wet and soggy start to the day, the crowds gathered, the music played, eggs were thrown and hopefully a good time was had by all. Annie's Fair Report will follow soon and include details of how much money was raised for good causes.
